To continue our photographic exploration of mineral masterpieces, we've chosen a mimetite specimen from San Pedro Corralitos in Mexico. Along with the highly desired color for specimens from this locality, this specimen features isolated mimetite spheres. This arrangement gives rise to a sublime contrast between the botryoidal mimetite and rough limonitic matrix. Though many mimetite specimens have been mined from this well-known locality, we've seen very few with isolated crystalization on matrix.
