Galena with Bornite overgrowth and pyrite West Fork Mine Missouri small cabinet

Galena with Pyrite - SOLD
West Fork Mine, Viburnum Trend Dist., Reynolds Co., Missouri
8.3 x 4.3 x 6.1 cm

MMS-156 - An American classic...cubic galena crystals line the horizon above highly irridescent, octahedral galena coated by bornite. An overgrowth of globular pyrite crystals provides texture contrast, making this a very attractive piece.

Barite Pohla Germany miniature

Barite - SOLD
Pöhla, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
6.1 x 5.6 x 5.0 cm

- ex Paul Jung Collection

MMB-550 - An attractive golden barite prism (2.9 cm) rises from the termination of a larger (3.4 cm), wider crystal.. Note the numerous phantoms characteristic of specimens from this classic locale, famous for its barite and silver. Some edge wear, mainly on the secondary crystal, does not detract from the aesthetics of the piece with its isolated crystal.

Ferberite with Quartz Peru small cabinet Wally Mann Lance Cook

Ferberite with Quartz - SOLD
Mundo Nuevo Mine, Pasto Bueno, Peru
6.1 x 4.5 x 4.2 cm

MMS-176 - Who says black rocks have to be ugly? This divergent cluster of fully terminated, lustrous ferberite crystals is complemented by quartz spires and needles...many of which rise from the surface of the ferberite...quite a visual treat. Three-dimensional and full of flash.

Malachite on Cuprite Emke Mine Namibia Pellman Collection small cabinet

Malachite on Cuprite - SOLD
Emke mine, Onganja, Windhoek Dist., Namibia
5.4 x 4.8 x 3.1 cm

- ex Pellman Collection

MMS-147 - When these superb, large cuprite crystals came out in the 1970's, they were instant classics. Many of the specimens from that find had their malachite coatings removed. While this revealed the red glow of the cuprite, the faces lacked luster--some would say a poor substitute to the textured and subtle green variations this piece possesses. For size and visual arrangement, this piece deserves top marks.

Cerussite on matrix Tsumeb Namibia small cabinet specimen

Cerussite on Matrix - SOLD
Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
6.4 x 4.2 x 4.6 cm

MMS-160 - "Nature's leaded glass," these unusually thick, reticulated cerussite crystals on matrix are highly gemmy and lustrous. Tsumeb cerussites set the standard for the species. Due to the mineral's softness, few specimens remain on matrix.
