To order a specimen, click on "Purchase." An email window should open. Please include 1) the specimen name, 2) the price, 3) specimen number, 4) your name and address.

We welcome visitors, understanding that many people (and specimens) are better in person. If you are planning a visit to the San Diego area, call or email to set up an appointment. Remember, we buy specimens too!

Shipping Specimens:

DOMESTIC: The customer will pay all shipping costs incurred. By default, specimens shipped within the United States will be sent using the U.S. Postal Service unless a customer indicates an alternative preference such as UPS or FedEx. Most specimens will be sent using Insured Priority Mail (2-3 days) or Registered Mail (customer preference).

INTERNATIONAL: The customer will pay all shipping costs incurred. Specimens will be sent via Express Mail International (3-5 days) unless alternative arrangements are made.

Return Policy:

We believe strongly in the quality of our mineral specimens. However, we are aware of the difficulties in ascertaining specimen quality from a photograph. Our return policy is as follows:

  • Within 15 days of receipt of a specimen, customers must send notice of an intent to return the piece.
  • Customers are required to provide a reason for the return via email or phone prior to the return
  • Returns may be subject to a restocking fee.
  • The customer will be responsible for any damage that occurs to a specimen during return shipment. Please be sure to pack the specimen carefully. If you need assistance, please contact us.
