Considered the "holy grail" for mineral collectors, this spectacular phosphophyllite specimen features an un-twinned sea-foam blue crystal measuring 3.9 cm on matrix. With only four undamaged matrix phosphophyllite specimens recognized in the collecting world, this is the sole specimen with un-twinned crystals. The combination of size, crystal perfection, color, and transparency positions this piece in the ultra-elite category of specimens. This phosphophyllite belonged to well-known collector Bill Larson for 30 years before changing hands recently.
