MMB-674 - Forming a "V" a pair of transparent, fully terminated aquamarine crystals rests on the lustrous, sharp termination of a schorl crystal in this gorgeous association piece from the Erongo Region of Namibia. Several smaller, well-formed schorl crystals are found on the aqua on the right. We've seen quite a few aqua/schorl combination pieces, but this specimen has an aesthetic quality seldomly shared by others of its kind.

MMS-166 - Vibrancy, shimmering luster, three-dimensionality...all combine here to make this a top-notch classic mimetite from the San Pedro Corralitos area of Mexico. The varying sizes of the botryoidal crystalization adds an aesthetic touch that must be seen to appreciate. Though mimetite specimens from Mexico flooded the market decades ago, very few possess both the rich yellow color and the wet luster that this piece displays.

MMS-240 - An azurite crystal, sharp-edged with vibrant flashes of blue, has patches where the azurite has pseudomorphed to malachite. Though primarily an azurite thumbnail, this specimen also features a cluster of wulfenite crystals (mostly complete).

MMB-704 - A drusy layer of marcasite glitters on enargite crystals (to 2.5 cm), catching the eye and inviting a closer look. The specimen is nicely three-dimensional. The marcasite selectively coats the enargite, creating a pleasing contrast between brass and steely gray, rough texture and smooth.

MMY-1209 - Three brilliant smoky quartz spires rise from matrix, showcasing great luster, transparency, and a series of distinct phantoms. The largest crystal measures 7.3 cm. Each crystal is lightly and attractively striated and sharp-edged. This famous locality-- supplying world-class smoky quartz specimens in its day--is within a national park now, meaning new collecting is off-limits. A fabulous small cabinet smoky quartz from a classic American locality!

MMB-693 - A cluster of three high quality "Herkimer Diamond" crystals includes a very large (7.5 cm) main crystal attached to matrix. The crystals are, of course, much more transparent than photos indicate. The great majority of Herkimer specimens are repaired, and the lower crystal on this piece was reattached to its host matrix. An American classic!

MMB-692 - Numerous super-fine tourmaline needles radiate in different directions within a light smoky quartz specimen from the famous Himalaya Mine. A terminated, bi-color pink and green tourmaline (3.2 cm) formed near the sharp termination of the quartz. Please note that this piece is re-crystallized on the bottom. A beauty from San Diego County!
