Danburite Charcas Mexico

Danburite with Calcite
Charcas, San Luis Potosí, Mexico
14.8 x 9.3 x 11.0 cm

- Irv Brown Collection

This stunning cluster of lustrous, pink danburite crystals is partially covered by yellow calcite crystals that provide a pastel accent to this masterpiece. The calcite has left the complex terminations of the danburite crystals exposed and has not attached to the main crystal, leaving it appropriately undadorned. Though not fully visible in the photo, the top third of each crystal is largely inclusion free. Undamaged, this specimen is also among the largest of the pink clusters that came to market in pristine condition.
