Azurite
Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
7.8 x 5.5 cm

- Irv Brown Collection

Tsumeb azurites are familiar the world over and loved by collectors. However, exceedingly few specimens show the level of transparency of this piece with crystals like azure windows. The front crystal, roughly 5 cm is doubly-terminated. With its contrasting texture and color, the bayldonite matrix adds an extra dimension to the aesthetics of the specimen.
