As with every masterpiece, one must consider layer upon layer of detail to fully appreciate the desireability of the piece. To begin with, raspberry-pink topaz specimens are incredibly rare, and exceedingly few remain on matrix. The lightly striated main crystal measures 4.0 cm and is completely damage free. While crystals of this size have been found, almost none have the saturation of color like this piece. At the foot of the main crystal lie several quartz prisms and an additional 1.5 cm topaz crystal which adds color to the bottom portion, drawing the eye across the whole specimen. Exquisite!
